About

Hello there! I am Xi Flashlight (/saɪ ˈflæʃ.laɪt/), a self-taught coder since 2015. I am 19 years old and lives in Sapporo, the largest city in Hokkaido, Japan. My pronouns are he/him.

I am a native Japanese speaker, and also speaks English (All pages on this website, as well as the English ones, were written by me!).

Content Creator

I've been using AviUtl, a free video editing software, for 10+ years (to be precise, I currently use AviUtl 2, a refined version of it).

I started my first YouTube channel, Mitu Comparisons in July 2017. This channel now focuses on data visualization and STEM stuff, and surprisingly, has more than 50K subscribers!

Coder

I started learning coding in 2015 as a hobby. Although, at that time, I wasn't really into coding so I quit once. 2019 was when I returned to coding and it remains as kind of my career now.

Here's a list of programming languages I use:

1. .lua (2019): for Roblox games
2. .py (2020): for data organizing
3. .html/.css (2021): for my website
4. .js (2022): for Discord bots and backend services
5. .ts (2025): for my current projects

Coding enabled my efficiency to skyrocket (I guess) and it would probably become my main career later on!

Gamer

I really love games! I have spent thousands of hours into games and it's still counting.

Minecraft is definitely the game I played the most. Roblox would be up next, both as a player and a developer.

osu! is also a game I've been into for a long while. I don't play recently now, but I peaked at #4,000 worldwide! (10k+ pp)

Feel free to contact me on Discord or X (formerly Twitter), which are available at /socials!

If, for a slight chance, looking for me to hire, no, I'm not for hire yet. I need to work on my stuff right now. Sorry!
